Class in Donnybrook

Moving down to the South West town of Donnybrook late 2013 and a year of building a new home, medical issues etc, I am now getting back into teaching.

Monday 4th April 9 am to 1 pm is the second class creating journal covers using Golden Fluid acrylics and Gesso.

Students experienced dropping fluid acrylics into a wet gesso base, scraping to blend into a painterly background.  Several layers added depth and interest, adding strength to the substrate.

Mark making was applied using marker pens and daubers filled with Golden free flow acrylics. 

 Final class collage and more paint blending to create attractive Journal covers which where then bound into journals

WA Quilt and Craft Show

Last Friday, Saturday and Sunday I exhibited at the WA Quilt and Craft Show at Claremont.  I was really pleased with the interest in the Golden demonstrations and products.

my lovely sister Phillipa helped me on the Friday and displayed her beautiful jewellery

On Friday I demonstrated how to make skins and print an image on a inkjet printer, Saturday painting into wet Tar Gel and on Sunday creating texture with Moulding Paste.
